Gretchen is a Licensed Associate Counselor and is working toward becoming a registered play therapist. She completed her bachelors at Ouachita Baptist University and Master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Clinical Mental Health from John Brown University. Gretchen realized very early her desire to become a play therapist. She even turned down a job offer to become a Disney Princess in order to pursue her Masters.
Gretchen became a part of PPCD in early 2019 after hearing a speech given by the owner regarding the mission and vison of the company. She reached out about potential job opportunities and was hired a month later.
Gretchen believes that all people are capable of leading joyous and fulfilled lives. She is passionate about working alongside families while helping to bring about positive and lasting change that allows them to grow up living life to their highest potential! She describes that playing alongside children and helping them overcome emotional and behavioral obstacles as one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable.
Gretchen has previous experience in school-based setting and in private practice providing therapy to families, couples and adults. She has specialized training and development in Play Therapy and Child-Parent Relationship Therapy.
In her spare time, Gretchen loves to cook and spend time with friends and family.
